Driving Directions

Mackinac Island is less than a day's travel from several major locations near or around the Great Lakes region.

Plan for weather when traveling

In your travel, plan well for Mackinac Island's variable weather. Our mid-season highs are comfortable, and can be downright hot in July and August, but star-lit nights and spring and fall are often brisk. An extra sweater and jacket is advised.
